Painted Peanut Characters – Cheap Christmas Crafts for Kids

Please remember, I’m not crafty, I’m not a tutorial maker, and I have about as much passion for glitter and glue as every other guy out there. What I do enjoy though, is spending time with the tiny human, and finding crafty things she enjoys doing to share with her. So that’s what this month is all about! Let Charlie have a little creative fun, get her excited for Christmas, and enjoy some quality time! Today we are making Painted Peanut Characters!

Materials Needed

  • Peanuts of Choice
  • Acrylic Paints of Choice
  • Brushes

Step 1: Paint…DONE!

That’s it! Get creative with your little peanuts. They are the perfect shape to make into reindeer, Santas, snowmen, candy canes, toy soldiers, little lumps of coal or any other holiday prop, character, or idea you can come up with. As you can see, Miss Charlie REALLY enjoyed painting her peanuts, and if you have been watching the vlog, she even tells us about it! Add a ribbon with the use of a hot glue gun and you have some perfect little oddities hanging on your tree!
